So, I've been light on the art side lately.
This is not a problem really.
I've finished my associates degree in applied science and will get my Precision Machine CNC Technology degree soon followed by a number of Mechanical Design and Drafting certificates. This after putting AutoCAD use to the side for over 15 years while I served in the military and did odd jobs until returning to school in 2013.
I am also employed part time as a draftsman who gets to dabble in design work once in a while.
Not bad, but busy.
So, I shall finish up some projects, and when time allows, let everyone know what I've been up to when I can catch up. That mig
I'm terrible with Journals. My poor junior high and high school english teachers will tell you...
Sadly, on the 20th of FEB, I lost a dear friend of mine in Alaska. Bob Piser lost his long battle with cancer fighting until the end. His son reported that he passed away peacefully and surrounded by family.
Bob was one of the few people I never had to explain too much to. He was a fellow Knight of Columbus, and he was a pioneer USAF TACP. Rarely do I meet an old ROMAD. Bob was one, and he was there at the beginning of the career field, and not really by his decision. I was fortunate that I volunteered to do the job when I was at Basic T
My longtime friend and supporter who got me SERIOUSLY into doing REAL hard core comic book type work Clayton Murwin http://cmerwin6.deviantart.com/ ~cmerwin6 (https://www.deviantart.com/cmerwin6) is working to Kickstart a project about the Korean War!
Korea is oftentimes referred to as "The Forgotten War", the shooting war was from 1950-1953 and resulted in the first US "police" action as part of a UN multinational force, the current divided Korea; and the longest ceasefire in modern warfare. This comic covers the shooting war and honors the vanishing generation of men and woman who answered America's first post WWII conflict in the Cold War.
Here is my heartfelt request
So, for my Arts 1020 2D Design class I have a creative process report to do. First artist I had to do was pretty much picked for me. However, I got to pick the second artist.
I picked John Stanko (if you play Magic the Gathering, you'll find his work in your deck most likely... Check out his work: http://stankoillustration.com/ ). I found that he taught at University of Nebraska Kearny (where he received his Bachelors in Illustration as a student) and asked my teacher if I could this report on him. I was granted permission under the condition I could catch up to him via phone or email to interview him.
I just got off the phone about an
...I began my forging into a warrior.
I graduated Basic Training at Lackland AFB and began my movement to the forge where I was formed into one of the deadliest human weapon systems on the battlefield. A USAF TACP ROMAD.
"The Strong Shall Stand and the Weak Will Fall by the Wayside"
Now, I am a student of another sort picking up where I left off 13 years ago with a higher education using my mind for the betterment of society through building stuff.
