The Unknown Royalty and the Misunderstood Prince is a love story between a character, who is known as Skipper, and another character named Bug. Skipper is royalty, but as a baby, they had been hidden away and was raised as a commoner as the kingdom of Uto had high tensions with the sand kingdom located in Glass Desert. Bug is a prince from the sky kingdom of Stonewing, however, he is over 15 feet tall and has bright pink tentrils that contrast with his dark body, so his would be subjects are terrified of him. Skipper spends their days doing chores in their household and earning money for their lone father. Sometimes they finds themself wondering if there is more for them, looking up at the castle longingly in their free time. However, this changes one day when the king of the sand kingdom, Arcady suddenly attacks Uto after Uto's king refuses to tell him where his hidden successor lives. Despite their protests, their father hurries Skipper to the stall where he always kept a single
Soma's day has not been great. First, he had been woken up by some humans making a loud ruckus near his home, then when he went to one of his few friends, they said they were too busy to hang out today, so he decided to head to the newly discovered cliffside library again for more quiet and reading. However, it rained the previous night and he had fallen face first into a mud puddle on his walk there (granted it had dried up and he easily got it all off before he arrived at the library, but it still angered him). He stepped inside, just after Borrow had resumed reading that mystery book with the detective, sidekick, and bartender, but a few minutes later, his day went from not great, to possibly being the second worst day of his life. The reading was normal at first. He is not a fan of fiction stories, but this one was not bad yet. Soma felt the rumble and jumped, landing on all fours. "Just the mountain settling!" Borrow had said. He had his doubts, yet slowly relaxed and sat
Borrow let out a tired sigh as he adjusted his glasses and stretched out his wings. This cliffside library had always been busy ever since the explorer spread the word of its existence, but this day in particular has been an exhausting one. He loves to see all the humans, along with the CCCats, Crooks, and any other species, and it warms his heart and fills him with joy that they're in pursuit of knowledge or stories that were once thought to be lost in time, but so many came up to him today for book recommendations or to ask questions. A few wanted to simply chat with him, too. Regardless if someone is an introvert or an extrovert, there's only so much social interaction one can take before burning out. Thankfully, most who came here left once the sun began to set and those who did stay, who were mostly the ones who were there since morning, kept to themselves and even fewer went up to Borrow. He could now relax and find a place to sit down and rest. "Ah, yes! You can find
'It's cold, too cold.' Gaius thought to himself as he walked on in his shapeshifted form. Just a few days ago, snow finally came down. It had snowed a few times before, but it all melted away come the following day. Not this time, however. It got cold enough for the snow to stay. It came late, and the Grabuki suspects that the Tempest from months ago is the cause for this sudden change in the weather. If only the changing of seasons got delayed further... This year has been, well, he would say absolute chaos, but even that does not serve as an accurate way to describe everything that has happened so far. And now that winter has come, this year is about to get a whole lot messier with the new Snowbrutes that'll arise before, during, and after the Riot. Gaius didn't agree with destroying the city, but siding with Riot gave him something he needed, protection, as he's wanted by the G.P.C. In their eyes and to those who've seen his wanted posters, he's a threat to the city, but he has
Being transformed into an Esk was... quite the experience. Thoughts, identity, a sense of self, emotions, sentience, a new view on life... Puggle could go on and on, but he found it impossible to describe how he feels in words. At first, it was overwhelming and confusing and left him terrified, however he eventually grew accustomed to his life as a spirit and his new form, even though it took years before he fully accepted what he is now. Originally a fly, he had lived for a whole month until he peacefully passed away on a bookshelf. His "boundary", as the few Esks who visited the locally owned bookstore informed him. His life went by so fast, and now his sense of time goes by much slower. It doesn't bother him usually, but thinking back on his past does. Still, he grew to appreciate it after the seasons changed. It made him happy to see how everything changed. The winter melts away and warms, the spring blooms and grows hot, the summer rays beating down and becoming chilly, the
A terrified scream echoed throughout the forest clearing along with the quiet, but frantic, footsteps as a young human sprinted for their dear life. Not that their life was in any actual danger, but it sure seemed that way with how deep into the night it was and how the crows cawed. Knives couldn't help himself and let out a burst of laughter as he got up. Ooooh, that was so good and so easy to set up. All he had to do was make the area look like your typical murder crime scene, tapes and all, then get under a sheet with fake blood on it and play dead. If a human comes along to investigate the assumed murder scene, then bravely and/or stupidly lifts and looks under the sheet, he'd scare them by screeching in their face and lunging at them. And he did and could say with confidence that it was worth it. His knife shaped crowns made it so easy to pull this kind of prank, too. They really made it seem like someone stabbed him and left the knives in the victim. After he finally stopped
With the sun setting over the horizen, the harvest festival came close to an end. Only a few people are there now, buying what little remained at the discounted food stalls or winning various, small prizes. Meanwhile, most who ran the stalls have either already left or are packing up as they had nothing else to sell or give, so the ones that are still open are scattered around. The sight made Moo smiled to herself while on the last tractor ride. The driver always drove up a hill to give an overview of all the stalls and attractions, and she enjoyed looking down at it every time. The harvest went well this year! With how many stalls are empty, there may be no need to have a day two for the stall owners to sell the leftovers! She thought to herself. She and the others hopped off the tractor when it stopped. "Thank you for all the rides you gave today!" Moo said happily. "And thank you for running the festival again. Might I help you clean up once everyone leaves?" The Crook

Stubs walked on a developed path near one of the city's parks. It is a cool day and on the weekend, so the path had families walking on it as well. Despite being fully aware that he's a spirit now, he found himself stepping out of their way, even saying "excuse me" and "sorry" as if he's physically there! Soon, he decided to cut the walk short and go where he wants to be at; that being the playground. Particularly the slide. There's a line of small kids at the slide, but instead of going through them, he got in line. It wasn't a long line, but the child behind him must've sensed his presense as she never walked through him. When it came his turn, he leaped up to the top of the slide and laid flat with his legs sticking outwards. With a small push from his feet, Stubs slid down it. Then time appeared to have slowed down. To most living creatures, this would cause shock and alarm, but this is normal for the Esk. The world cumbling around him and falling down into nowhere is normal

Natura Humana Chapter One
*Why have I come here?* Stubs thought to himself as he walked on a faint trail. Vines and tree roots covered it, but he could tell it is a trail from the short, yet thick, grass. In the past, perhaps humans walked this path, but he believed that only the occasional deer walks it now. As for his reason for walking this trail, well, something in his mind told him too, so he went on this forest path without questioning it. Did someone or something call to him? And if so, then for what purpose? He wanted to know. He soon stopped and observed his surroundings. He can hear squirrels running in the tall trees and saw some on the ground searching for food. He can also hear the distant caws and tweets from birds. However, he did not stop to watch and listen to the undisturbed wildlife. *"Why do you keep hiding yourself? I have sensed your presense for a while. I would never harm another, so please, show yourself. It'd make the walk less lonely."* Stubs said in his head. It stayed quiet
