Oh, thank you! I'm glad you reached out. I was wondering if anyone even saw my entry, TBH.

And she had to save all those slaves while fighting crippling headaches! I'm in awe.

I just hope they do her justice, like REALLY do Tubman right, and try not to just make it some sort of box-office bait.

That's a wonderful description. In a way, that's exactly what she is. <3

Seriously - could any man - particularly any white man - living back in this time have even imagined a black slave woman could escape North and then risk her life to return to the South some 19 times to bring back around 300 slaves North to freedom, many of them her own family members?  I don't think so... and then Harriet "Moses" Tubman comes along, and the rest is history!  Truly she was a fearless woman and a real hero... nice work on this! :) (Smile)

She is so awesome! "Stuff you didn't learn in History Class" did a bunch of podcasts about her, so check these out if you want to hear more awesome stories about Harriet Tubman.

If it were any other narcoleptic attempting to steer a course to freedom from out of the jaws of slave-hunting Crackers these kids would be in trouble; as it is they might cheat those flesh-peddling Legrees yet!
