Thomas Cranmer by suburbanbeatnik Thomas Cranmer by suburbanbeatnik
Another recent commission. This is a portrait of Thomas Cranmer, Henry VIII's Archbishop of Canterbury. It goes with this portrait of Margaret here-- [link] -- and this group portrait here. [link]

Cranmer WAS pretty conspicuously endowed, in the philtrum department..... Love a good philtrum on a man....

I actually didn't know what 'philtrum' even meant until just now. I learn something new every day! :)

God, his robe is SICK! Although I have to say his philtrum kind of looks like a piercing.
