Eclipse is here and until bugs are fixed and new features are released, we need to try to make something out of this... situation. When other sites has a ton of usefully annoying hints to teach us the novelties, here we are left with an incomplete, unfriendly and sometimes inaccurate Knowledge Base... and the DA community.
I've decided to create the Surviving Eclipse series to advertise news and tutorials about Eclipse from the community and the staff in hope that we can all survive the DeviantArt overhaul.
I will myself continue to write tutorials. I'm grateful for all the feedback, ways to do things I haven't mentioned of notice, bugs you've encountered, etc. Since I'm a member of the AdvisoryBoard, I can relay the bugs to the team, but I encourage you to use the help desk as well.
You still need thumbnails for your group but they have disappeared? has the solution: https://www.deviantart.com/tokyomoonlight/status-update/20734412
You want to manage the groups and deviants you are watching? The page is still there! Click on "watch" and you'll find "manage watch list" on the left of the FEED button.
@ekud is talking about Eclipse and reactions to changes. It takes courage to come forth in this time of crisis. Remember that exchanging with the staff with respect and ideas will go way further than insults.
communityrelations has many Eclipse tutorials. You can find them all on their front page. Here's today's list:
You can also find tutorials on this site: https://www.daeclipse.info/
If you want to keep in touch with changes, follow
My own tutorials:
If you have a tutorial you would like me to put in my next edition, leave me a comment or a note.

is there a way to delete 2000 freaking watch feed at once or am I supposed to delete them one by one manually? Because if the valid option is the second one, then I think I'll pretend the watch feed doesn't even exist anymore and wait until the whole server blows up when I reach a few billion unchecked watch messages. I didn't think that eclipse was that bad, until I realized it's almost impossible for me to watch my favorite artists due to how messy, tedious, slow, and incomprehensible the new UI is.
And it's not a matter of getting used to it. You simply can't get used to a kick in the dick, no matter how long you keep getting kicked in the dick. This is how bad the new UI is.
When you click on the select box of one deviation, it will show you the option to select all and remove. So I imagine if you scroll to the bottom (which will be painful), you'll be able to remove all deviations at once.
For posting such informative journals to help us all transition to what is now our New DA. I truly appreciate the kindness you share with us all I am adding all of those in my favorites Eclipse/NewDA folder so anyone interested can easily find them.
yeah... I now use the mobile application, as in the one from Google Play (Android) or App Store (iOS) and the paragraphs are clunky or don't format properly and the links don't work ;_;
because the Desktop gives me migraines and eyestrains even at furthest comfortable browser zoom and lowest brightness (though pain was reduced now after 2 days) so I have no choice to use mobile
