Thursday is the day we do our weekly updates of our  SturkWurk Backers  program! This week we’re serving up Part 11: Self Care 01. It’s the first installment of a six-part story arc in the excellent series called Nocturne!

Who is Nocturne, you may ask? He was once a human named Ricky, and not a good person. In fact, Ricky was a very bad person. but now he’s inherited Nyx’s powers, along with her legacy… and is doing good as someone who can transform people so they can have the body they deserve… or give them back the body they never wanted to give up!

Each story arc in this series focuses on a different person that Nocturne is going to transform… only this time, the transformee looks like it’s going to be Nocturne himself!

After helping many people alter their gender identity, Ricky is, for the first time in his life, questioning his own identity. Or perhaps it’s not the first time. Perhaps it’s only the first time he is saying these words out loud!

Ricky goes to talk to Becky, the spouse of both Gilded Zephyrs. Becky spent decades helping trans people figure out who they really were, only most of her work was done in limbo, not on Earth.

Still, she’s the one who can steer Ricky down the right path… a path that will lead to another being who has been visited by the Gods, someone who also helps people gain the kind of body they’ve always longed for.

Ricky is on the journey of his life, that’s for sure, and it’s safe to say that Nocturne will never be the same!

This chapter of the story comes in at 27 single-panel pages. This storyline is just getting started, but Sturk is off to a great start!
