My Bio
I spent two years at Columbus College of Art and Design as an Illustration major, and finished up my BFA at Edinboro, PA, where I studied film and animation. I have been developing stories and characters since I was 12 years old. Sequential art, in all its forms (comics, film, animation, etc.), is my primary interest in art. My goal is to be a working artist/writer.

I began studying inking around May 2009 and have been attending annual conventions (as a visitor) in Chicago and Baltimore to learn more about the comics industry. I have inked two stories written by Neil Fisher and drawn by Derek Chase. Each were published in a separate anthology - "Aliens Among Us" and "Great Zombies in History" Issue 3. My next goal is to begin work on my own book, and venture into self-publishing.

April breakdown - C2E2 2015 and New inking project

April breakdown - C2E2 2015 and New inking project

Only two weeks until C2E2 here in Chicago. I will be in Artist Alley all weekend (April 24-26) at table K-14 taking commissions and selling books. I may have some art for sale too. If you are attending the show, please stop by to say hi. I am also inking another story drawn by Giovanni Frada that is due at the end of the month. After all my work for this month is done, I'll post it on Deviantart, so please check back to take a look.

Charm City time (Baltimore Comic Con)

If you are going to Baltimore Comic Con next weekend, or are in the area, please stop by and say hi to me, Jules Shavirov, and Neil Fisher. We are sharing table A87 in the Artist Alley. We will be selling books, and prints, and taking commissions. Jules is a talented penciler and colorist who will have some amazing prints for sale. Neil writes stories, and he and I have collaborated on two stories for these anthologies: "Great Zombies in History" and "Aliens Among Us". We will have copies of the Great Zombies in History trade paperback for sale at the table. Both Jules and I will be taking commissions each day of the con. Would love to see

C2E2 2014 Sum Up, and what lies ahead

C2E2 was exhausting, but very rewarding. I didn't expect much out of my first convention appearance, felt very unprepared, but I ended up doing seven commissions, and sold two pieces from my inking portfolio and a copy of Great Zombies in History. It was great to meet so many new fans and fellow creators, but the most rewarding part was seeing the smiles on peoples' faces when I gave them their commissions. Everyone was so appreciative of the work, and though I felt my drawing skills were very rusty, I saw improvement with each new commission, and found a new sense of confidence in myself that was not there before. I am more motivated now tha

Hi Loston. We have some common friends on Facebook (that is how I found your deviant page), so if you want to shoot me a friend request on Facebook too, that is cool! Always looking for other inkers to chat with. Later! - David Strosnider
