I meant to post here again after Toronto ComiCon, but I never got a chance until now. Anime North is almost here and I've been super busy over the last few weeks gearing up for the con. April was a big whirlwind as my older brother got married at the end of the month so things were a bit hectic for several days.

I haven't been working on any costume projects over the last few weeks. It's a weird feeling to not be sewing in the last few weeks before Anime North given that I see AN as my big con of the year. I've been so busy in other ways that not having to worry about sewing is kind of a big relief. Regarding costume plans, I've decided to re-wear my Young Bulma costume from Dragon Ball for Friday of Anime North. It'll be my first time re-wearing the costume since 2013 so it's a bit of a blast from the past. I'm mostly wearing it as a comfy option for Friday's Nominoichi. I figured it would be another hot year given how warm it was in much of April, but it looks like the con might be slightly chilly and possibly rainy on Friday so I'm regretting my decision a bit. >.< At least with the bright pink dress and the blue ponytail wig, the costume will make it easy for people to spot the table I'm sharing with my friend Adrien. I'll be at table N117 on Friday night from 7 - 10:30 PM. I have lots of figures, gashapon items and trading goods from Sailor Moon, Pokemon, Vocaloid and Madoka Magica along with toys, games and plushies from several other series so be sure to stop by! I'm taking reservations until next Tuesday night and you can see my sale list here. That covers quite a bit of what I'm bringing, but not everything! Packing boxes and writing price lists have kept me super busy over the last few weeks! I hope the Nomi ends up being a productive and fun event, but I love talking to people who stop by the table whether or not they buy anything as I find the event to be quite social. I'm really looking forward to it! :3

My Saturday Cosplay plan is to re-wear my new Madoka Magica school uniform and Cosplay as Madoka Kaname again. I'm really excited to re-wear it after finishing it for Toronto ComiCon. I'm still super happy to have finally finished that costume as it was a dream costume of mine. It took a very long time, but it was worth the blood, sweat and tears! After finishing with Cosplaying for the day, I'm looking forward to hitting up the hotel pool and relaxing. Once the Nomi is over my schedule is wide open. I'm a bit bummed that I don't have enough network connections to know any photographers to book for a shoot of Madoka, but I'll try to go to the photo alley on Saturday to get some pics. Hopefully in the summer I'll organize a private shoot of Madoka with my friend Elemental.

Sunday will be casual for me. I usually try to check out the dealer's room on Saturday evening and then artist alley and the crafter's corner on Sunday when I'm out of costume. I am pretty excited to see my friends at the con and all the fun craft items and prints in the artist alley and the crafter's area. I'm not sure how much shopping I'll be doing in the dealer's room as I already have several figures on hold from tables in the Nominoichi so I probably should ease back on shopping. I'm finally clearing some of my shelves with the Nomi and here I am immediately filling them back up again. XD The life of an Anime fan indeed!

Anyway, I'm looking forward to another fun Anime North! In June I hope to go fabric shopping to get started on my next costume project over the summer. Despite finding sewing my Madoka school uniform to be quite gruelling, after taking a couple of months off from sewing, I'm itching to get back into it again. My aim is to finish another costume before Fan Expo so we'll see if I can do that.  Plus I would like to do one or two other shoots of older costumes over the summer.

Finally, I do still plan to open a Facebook and/or Instagram account. I've been so busy lately that I haven't had the time. I'll probably do that in the next few weeks so stay tuned for that!
