Loxoscelism - detail by Strayfish Loxoscelism - detail by Strayfish
This will be one of the call-outs for the pathology project I'm working on. It's showing neutrophils squeezing out of vessel walls and into surrounding tissue (below the skin) in the early stages of loxoscelism.

What is that strange word, you ask? It's also called necrotic arachnidism, aka Brown Recluse spider bites. Don't google unless you have a strong stomach. :)

Silly!

I'll post the whole illustration when it's done, and hopefully it won't look as graphic as the real thing...
