Wanted to see if anythings improved, but alas this profile page still looks as it last appeared in Aug-2022. In fact, it's worse than I'd remembered. Now not drawn for over 5 years (Oct-2018 ..to.. Jan-2024). Much love to those who inspired me, your thoughts meant the World to me. S.B.

INKtober 00 = Front Cover [Rules] by straingedays

Yes, Me, who has No Style, and takes Forever Finishing Everything, took on The Daily Challenge of Inktober for the 1st Time. --- Easy Right ?? :no::nod::no::nod:

Good Stuff, Drawn things, in ink, out of my normal, and learned how to improve my nervous jitters when using ink, , ,  And have 33 pages of artworks I'd might otherwise have never drawn. ---

Bad Stuff, Took too long on "quick" drawings ; Struggled sticking to a pre-set plan (changing ideas helped & hindered)  ;  Loose confidence easily ; Tension headaches ; Tingling Hands (wtf?) ; Staying Motivated, Happy & Healthy, Everyday!!

Learned Stuff, Artline + Uni-Ball white = lighter pastel colour ;;;;;;;;; BiC black biro + Uni-Ball white = grubby blue/gray slate colour ;;;;;;;;; Uni-Pin fine lines go a shiny deep black when layered repeatedly in horizontal lines ;;;;;;;;; Can do wobble free lines when  " I don't care,"  or act like it is of no importance. (bad for remaining positive, but good for calm, clean lines) ;;;;;;;;; Loosen pen grip and pressure, there's no need for it and it damages your paper & fingers !!

Mystery Stuff, Drawn art I assume Bad, that's liked more than drawings that I assume Good (I don't understand ??)

Special Thanks, to gregsbird (Your post started my INK interests)

Hi All !! :wave:

  • If anyone has removed pen ink (with a dry eraser), I'd be most happy to learn what actually works.
Checked on google and U-tube, however many of the recommendations,  bleach,  blur,  or cause more damage.  --- Some 'solutions' made me gasp in horror (as even the expert demonstration didn't work) ; Acetone,  Magic Ink Remover,  Sand Paper,  Bleach,  Peroxide,  and assorted toxic Household cleaners.  --- All "wet fixes" seemingly leave a bigger mark, or simply fade the ink & paper to a different colour. :shrug:Now I'm stumped on what to do...

:writeexam: The best sounding solution was from a librarian, who repaired books.

  • Prismacolor® Magic Rub Drafting Eraser (not the pink kind)
Am I poisonous? They have been around for years, , , but can they remove Ink from Paper ??
Personally, I have tried using other brands of pencil erasers, but so far had no luckthere goes my last chance

:no: Generals Art Gum Eraser 137E    ;  :no: Faber-Castell dust free  ;
:no: Ringsun electric eraser                ;  :no: Faber-Castell pvc free   ;
:no: Staedtler plastic erasure pen        ;   :no: Faber-Castell kneadable erasure (grey)
:no: TomBow mono zero erasure pen    ;   :no: Staedtler 526 Mars plastic erasure

  • The ink in question is BiC Ballpoint (black)
  • Paper is smooth sketching paper of average thickness (white)
  • Removing Ink from Paper. Test #1. by straingedays  Here's a test, some worked, most didn't.
Thanks Kindly for your time, Stew :TipOfTheHat:

Windows 10

:bademoticon:  URghhh!! Windows 10 did horrible things :---
  • Squashed, Stretched & Supersized. (squares appear rectangle)
  • Right click button has Cut, and Paste. -- That's it !!
  • Disabled (MSI Afterburner) graphics software & drivers.
  • Disabled (Canon MP270) scanner / printer & drivers.
  • Disabled (NetGear genie) wireless router & drivers.
  • Whiped all the old settings and web history.
  • A one inch black line all round the screen.
    (windows 10 driver: wont fit to screen & won't change screen size)
  • Windows 10 no longer recognizes my screen type/make as before.
  • Screen software won't start yet it is there 'working properly' ??
  • Start menu is annoying, and looks like a giant advertisement.
  • Makes Bing, your home page, home browser (and full of adverts)
  • Websites don't always work - and look vastly different (out of scale)
  • Plus multiple other programmes just won't start, or load at all !!!

     [UPDATE] -- Rolled back to previous version of Windows. Settings >> Apps >> Update/ Security >> Recovery. -- (be patient and touch nothing, as it took over 4 hours). -- If you stop midway, your goosed, and may not be able to use the 'rollback' feature at all. -- If you wait more than 30 days, or do a file clean within those 30 days,,, your goosed.
