Description

Had the extreme honor of shooting DJ AM the other night, at super Hip night-spot Pop Opera on West Hastings in Vancouver..

AM snuck in the club right before his set time, and immediately went to work... I honestly didn't know what to expect, having seen some pretty big name DJ's that were nothing special (DJ Shadow, MSTRKRFT, Crystal Method) but Adam blew me away.

This is the first time seeing AM, and hopefully wont be the last.. Im hoping that he and Travis Barker play somewhere close sometime in the near future..

Really natural and professionally suitable looking images. A great lens has been utilised to it's maximum potential here in my opinion, and the style of the shots work well together to create impact.

I think maybe the sb-800 could be utilised a little more to creat more drama and mood in the subject, but not having heard the DJ it's hard to know if that would suit his style. The light at the edge of the bottom frame is a little distracting.

Overall a great diptych of images, shot with a confident looking and bold style!

Well done! ! great stuff
