Now, this is the first piece I've ever done on Modo. I still used 3DCoat for most of the sculpting so the actual figure wasn't terribly much influenced. BUT, the lights and the environment and the texturing was both quite difficult and extremely gratifying to do in Modo. In some ways, I don't think I could have made this piece look like it does now in Cinema4D. Especially on the texturing end of the equation, I have no idea how I'd done the tricks I did in C4D.

Also, I forgot to upload this on Wednesday. Sorry about that.

I can't be the only one who thought this was sculpture at first glance. omfg

Well, it IS a sculpture. Although not a physical one, which is what I assume you meant. I don't really do "traditional" 3D art at all, I do three dimensional sculptures on computer.  So that might sort of account for the first impression.

Yup, I did take it for a traditional sculpt when I saw the thumbnail at the bottom where they show the DD's. Really looks great whether from afar or up close. Congratulations! :D

Am I the only one that thought this is Titan?

So far, it looks like it. I don't watch anime, so I can confidently say it wasn't influenced by that either. I assume the anime/manga is what you meant. Although to be honest, "titan" is a tiny bit open-ended term, being used so much in Fantasy in general.

Oh right. Not everyone watches anime. Forgive my absentmindedness.

Haha, nothing wrong with watching anime. I am even one of the two people in the world who study Japanese and don't watch anime or like Japanese music, so it's even a semi-topical comment.

This is vey perculiar, but yet interesting at the same time. And it does have emotion in it a you can obviously tell there is pain.

Well now... this is creepy as all Hell... LOL     So disturbing, yet done very well. I can't tell where one ends and the other begins, or if they are merging or multiplying. I guess that is for our interpretation, and I am stuck between thought. I guess they are technically as well.

I'm glad to hear that you can see the intentional vagueness or open-ended approach I have for art in general. I avoid making too obvious statements on what exactly is going on in the picture, leaving people to make their own conclusions.
