The Great Battle Against Greed and Evil

On this day, in Stornhaven history, a great legend met his passing.

The legend was foreign-born, but this made him no less impactful in the lives and culture of Stornhaven's denizens. The legend's mark in history began with him being a simple squire. He would hear of a princess intended to be sacrificed to a baleful dragon, and be compelled to take action. The legend journeyed forth to confront the dragon, slaying it and rescuing the princess.

This impressive feat, and the many impressive and storied exploits, journeys, and adventures to follow, scored the legend, the attention of an emperor, who sought to have the legend as his bodyguard in the royal court. But the emperor was obstinately against any and all worship and reverence directed to the Heavenly Father. And this was a prominent feature of the legend. The legend refused to acknowledge any lesser idols, facing emperor-sanctioned torture, and a subsequent execution. But in death, the legend's legacy blazed even greater, extending beyond Stornhaven's borders and having people of all backgrounds, begin to believe in the favor and grace of the Heavenly Father.

This legend, has been a cornerstone for many people who aspire to be as faithful and strong as he was. The saint Leofricg is one such person, never backing down against any threat to his home territory, be the threat an outlaw, or monster, or even a dragon from the depths of Ruinhar.
