Ryukotsu apologized to me this morning. That is what he led the conversation off with. I still can’t quite wrap my head around that. As it turns out, the spirits told him to for mocking me the other day. I don’t disagree, but I didn’t understand why. I’ve been called worse things than a child, and I’m not the one he attacked. He then told me that it’s not justice he fights for, he fights to forget. He wants to forget what happened in Ogata, the town he washed up in. He told me that fighting helped block out the whispers and the screams. I think the key difference though, is that he does not seem to want to

Letter from Casper "von Singer" to Yukimura Rin
To Rin
While I cannot retern the truths I have stolen from you, and I know truths stolen will given can never equal a stolen truth. But I offer these truths about myself as payment for these truths.
My name is Casper Ulrich. When I left my home four years ago I came here two years ago.
When I was six my sister threw me in the pond to teach me how to swim and I almost drown. She did not come in after me.
When I was ten my classmates sawed off my right antler, tied it to my rabbit Leo and said he was a wolfetinger. Leo would be 15 in September.
When I was 15 I stole a keg from my parents stores

Today was just a day of restocking, we didn’t have time to set up shop and do much trading when we still had to get to Hashidaka. I ended up going into town with Jin Renshu to purchase a few more medical supplies since some were used on the previous leg of our journey. We made some conversation and I noted that he avoided speaking of Ryukotsu completely, as well as the fact that he and his family had been avoiding the man in person. Not that I blame them. Another odd thing was that today Ragnar had shrunk. He was about the same size as Felix and was using him as an assistant to get around the ship. You had to be careful not to kick him

Today had started with a buzz of excitement because the island was finally in sight, which meant we’d be reaching the harbor of Kumiyako before the sunset and able to enter in the next tide. I’d finished organizing the medical supplies so I was out on deck watching the island with Haruki when watch called attention to a boat approaching. It wasn’t Akitsukunian, and it wasn’t dwarven. It was elven. The boat pulled up to the starboard side but at a decent distance away for the time being. Then they called out in the common tongue for Captain Baldur to hand over the fugitives from the Elven Imperium that he was harboring.

Excerpt from the journal of Yukimura Rin.
This morning, we were all woken up before dawn, and found Haruki sitting near the window and looking out. Seemed he wanted to watch the sun rise, so I sat with him while everyone else went back to bed for a while longer. It was so strange. He almost didn’t seem to realize I was there until after the sun had come up. I’m starting to wonder just a little bit if there’s some merit to what Yaginome thinks, because this is not a normal child. He doesn’t even babble much for his age when he should be attempting words. We will have to look more into it later, after we have visited Ku

When I wrote on the morning bringing another adventure, I did not believe one would happen so soon. From the moment we awoke we realized that Haruki had wandered off and no one had seen him. Casper and I had been woken up intermittently through the night ever time he needed something, but I had thought Casper last had him, just as he thought I last did. Quickly cleaning up and packing up, we split up to look through the house. It was Apprentice that first found Haruki in the arms of Lady Ōe. In the year 1232, Emperor Jaal Gyssaltin of the great Elven Imperium gathered together his most trusted generals and gave them a simple task: invade and conquer thirteen very specific lands of men. Why he gave this order, or what he hoped to accomplish by invading these thirteen lands of men, I cannot say. All I know is that within the year, the elves had begun their invasion of all of these lands.
That was three hundred and five years ago, and the conflicts continue. Four of these lands have reached an uneasy peace with the elves through sheer military might. T

Children of the Revolution Ch. 3
A lone shadow moved its way around an empty room. Well, not quite empty. There were screens, a giant table, and a few chairs, but no one was in sight. For now. Soon, officers under Paula’s command would be arriving for a meeting, and the shadow wanted to make sure the room was well prepared for them. Or rather, just one in particular.
Mentally humming to itself, the shadow raised the height of the chair with its lever and mess with it a bit more. If it was correct, and it always was, this would be Art’s chair for the meeting. He was so going to get it.
Dashing under the table and phasing into the shadows, the first Pokémon

Atlas finally tore his eyes from the concrete walls when he was thrown through the air. He cracked his head on the wall, and slid to the ground. It didn’t hurt though, his crest made sure of that. He looked around to see what had happened. Atlas saw the Pokémon milling around, and the humans were crowding around a kirlia that had pinned the gliscor to the wall.
“You are such a failure!” she shouted.
“I did more than you ever could,” the gliscor hissed back. Atlas could see him above the heads of the humans, struggling in the kirlia’s Psychic hold.
“I’ve done as much as I’ve been al

A lot can happen in ten years.
Lives can change.
We’ve gained and lost friends along the way.
But through these years, one thing remained the same.
We are a family, and will always stay that way.
Why am I sharing this with you?
Oh don’t look so surprised.
I’ve spent enough time with my sister’s friends to know you exist, but don’t worry. Your secret’s safe with me.
Which reminds me, I don’t believe you’ve met me before.
So let me introduce myself.
I am Caitlyn the Gothitelle, and I’ve been here the last eight years working as Storym’s secretary. I transferred here a little

Pokemon Baccer was developed as a semi-alternative option to straight up battling. It is similar to the human game of soccer, but is far more structured though with far fewer rules for actual gameplay. Baccer is a game created by Pokéumans, and was featured in the recent movie Zoroark, Master of Illusions. It is a game of endurance, strategy, and teamwork. Necessary components to come out on top. It is also meant to be a challenge for those w
“Bye Mackenzie, see you tonight. Gotta see if I can salvage that job or find a new one.”
With that, the door clicked shut. The calico’s ear swiveled towards the door, listening to the retreating footsteps, as she remained in her warm bed for a while longer. After a few seconds, she couldn’t hear him anymore. She stood up and stretched. She moved over to the window by the fire escape, enjoying the sun through the window, before pushing it open. The lock was long since broken, and since no one knew, no one really cared. She sniffed the city air, wrinkling her nose in disgust at the car fumes permeating her most valuable
Gerald was sitting home alone in his cheap apartment, gently stroking the back of his cat, Mackenzie. He vaguely listened to the sports game going on, on a TV that was too small and grainy to see anything. It was just something mediocre to pass the time because his cat and his couch were his life right now. The only thing that made him smile was the tabby curled on his lap, purring happily as he pet her.
“It’s been a long day again,” he said absentmindedly.
Mackenzie didn’t respond, but then again, of course, she was a cat.
“I’m thinking I might be on the brink of losing this job too. Some nut waving a c
