The Season Cycle

Written 10/24/2010 Spring ends The air burst Into flames Heat scorches the ground Warming animals who start wearing Light colors and fur to cool themselves The season brings freedom like never before To roam and play with friends To swim, bike, run To skip through the land To travel the world or travel your backyard Then the heat lessens, Summer is over Autumn has arrived With brisk breeze on the wing Leaves from the trees coat the ground Relieving the tree's arms Of the burden It carries three seasons long Animals migrate and bury themselves away Their knowledge of the coming cold Sends them into warm temperatures and burrows A chill feel

Started Oct 12, 2012 It's that feeling you get When you've lost something That feeling that you've forgotten To turn off your stove When you realize you've overslept On the day of your graduation That you've missed out on something That you're supposed to be Somewhere extremely important It's in the chill of the wind Right after you've left the pool On a day that was supposed to be summer But isn't The brain freezes that comes When you sip a cold drink That goes straight to your brain And stops all thought for a second Or the shiver that runs down your back As you walk out the door Of your teacher's last memorial service As you exit you

Don't cry, you're not alone, see There are others there just like you They're thinking the same thoughts Feelin' the same emotions I am talking to you Cuz I know what you been through And it's not so long ago I felt the same way Scared and lonely, confused and sad I wanted to understand so so bad Just hold on, you can get through this Just hold on, and it will be worthwhile Just keep on trying to get there Just keep on battling your fears Like soldiers, marching on If we can make it through the night We'll see the sun, oh it's so bright And we're soldiers marching on To reach the entrance and the light We're just keepin up the fight

Alone, abandoned Forgotten on the street it lays For it's brief freedom It pays The wind now free of the contract spirals away Leaving it's partner, lying cold on the street With no home, no warmth, no purpose It shivers Missing the warm hand that had carried it Out of the store so many months ago Missing the backpack and purse it had been stuffed into For rare days such as this one When the rain pounds the streets Creating a drumbeat of its own kind Using its translucent body to create Music as dancers use theirs to create art It crys out, its battered body lost, Void of location and shape No longer able to return to what it once was No lo

I Call You To The Light

May 26th, 2012 @ 11:13am I call you from the darkest darkness, darker than you've ever seen I call you from the longest past, longer than you've walked before I call you now to stand before me, I call you now my dear I call you now to face your fears Who knows how many things you're scared of, that you've never even seen Who knows how many lurk in the shadow that you've always seen Who knows how many things you could be afraid of but are not Who knows how many things seem innocent but are not Just because they're different, doesn't mean they're bad Like just because I say this, it shouldn't make you mad Just because you know them,

The Cause and Affect of Words

The Cause and Affect of Words

There is something interesting about stress When one is overloaded due to procrastination or something of the like One tends to do stupid things Such as getting angry at himself Or crying tears until she cannot do anything but forget the stressor Accepting the consequences I am one such person I fall into this wretched category The one in which the members allow everything to beguile them into believing That what we want to do is what we should do That statement is false Yet my brain still ends up convinced that it is true Especially when more time is given to do what is required Even though that seems strange Spending my time frivolously E

I stole this poem.

Words are applied to a page, Scratched with care from pen. But these words aren't instrument born. Nor have they ever been. The pen is drawn with careful script By the motions of a hand, But even then, poetic writ Comes not from there unmanned. No, the hand is moved instead, (One could assume as are we all) By the head's vagrant notions, Which heed yet another's call. The mind suffers none's command Though it cannot hope to feign To retain control against the odds When the heart assumes the reigns. But the Heart cannot claim these words, If my aim's 'speak true.' Yes it wrote, but belonged to another: I stole these words fr

My Depression

Pretending I was okay was hard But it was harder to be me And accepting my depression Never did set me free I wished I could be happy Every second of every day But somewhere deep inside I knew I had to pay It was my fault you left Even though you deny But still I feel the same Always low never high Stuck in a cycle that I cannot control Just wishing at least i didn't cry anymore But still it remains Deep down in my soul And once again I see My crimson blood flow

Magnet English lyrics

In the deepest part of me, a tiny flame was lighted And before I knew it, my whole heart became ignited Wand’ring as a butterfly, I aimlessly took flight, and Found myself falling apart alighted in your palm Let go of my hands entwined around your own And instead I’ll press my lips against yours Even if they say that what we have is wrong When you’re with me, I burn up all the more I want you to hold me tight And reassure me every night Make me believe that no matter what they say, we’re in love, baby Kiss me in the dark Like we could never come apart Intoxicated by you, I am consumed, wanna drown in this fant

Lyrics

A fork in the road, a knife in the back A man whose heart and soul are black, A cutie pie, an apple in a tree One thing's for sure, I got the lyrics in me A shy school girl, a woman with hidden scars Two coworkers kissing beneath the stars So what, my dear, have you written today? Come on and tell the world what you have to say Put the pen to the paper, scribble something new Tell me, do you have the lyrics in you?
