Zira watched the two cubs interact from the hidden position amongst the grass, barely able to keep the growl in her throat muffled. Her adopted son, Kovu, had not only disobeyed her orders to stay with Nuka and away from the Pridelands but worst still, was PLAYING with the princess and daughter of her mortal enemy, King Simba. She wanted nothing more then to spring out and smack the stupid whelp away from her charge; she didn’t want that silly princess filling her Kovu’s head with ridiculous ideas. But Zira knew better then to attack one of Simba’s own, having learned from past experiences to be more cautious with these types of decisions. Making sure no one was around to witness it and that Simba and his pride weren’t waiting to strike, she finally removed herself from her hiding spot and step forward into the tiny clearing.
