A few minutes after reading the message, Aile paced back and forth in her quarters, wondering how she can tell X about Gaia's request to meet up. She knew she could trust the blue hunter, since she's good friends with him, but she also knew that X always tells Zero everything, which makes things harder, since Zero isn't as easy-going as X. He has good reasons for acting like this, but it can be really inconvenient for events like this.
Aile: What do i do now? If i talk to X, then chances are, he'll tell Zero, and that won't be easy, since he's pretty stubborn about this kind of stuff. I'll just have to get him on his own and tell him then.
the young reploid walked out of her room and bumped into X, who just so happened to be by himself. X smiled and helped her up, being the kind reploid he usually is.
Aile: Thanks, X. Sorry for bumping into you. I actually have something to show you.
X: Really, What is it?
Aile: Just come with me for now, and you'll see.
As she led the blue bomber to her office, she was getting nervous. she began to wonder if X would even be on board with the ideas she had in mind. when they got inside, Aile opened the Email and showed X the message. X was certainly intrigued. the two walked out of the room to talk.
X: This information could help turn the tides of the fight! I'll tell Zero!
Aile: NO! We tell him, and he won't even let us step one-sixteenth of an inch out of base! Our best bet is to go on our own. We have to do this, get Gaia out of there and cripple Sigma.
X: Are you sure we can't tell him? He'll understand if it's for a good cause.
Aile: ...Fine, we'll try it your way, but you have to make him understand.
Zero: Make me understand what?
Aile and X looked back and saw Zero standing beside them, with his crossed arms and stoic composure.
Zero: Well, then? I'm waiting.
X: Zero, Aile recieved an email from the Maverick Commander we encountered on the train, and she sent Aile an message, saying she wants to help us beat Sigma.
Zero: Have you ever considered that this could be a trap? I know what mavericks think about, and this particular one is thinking about beating your brass into the ground the minute you arrive.
X: Zero, please, just let us try and handle this. if it gets hairy, we'll call you.
Zero: *Sighs* fine, but try not to get killed. You're free to go.
X: Thanks, Zero! Come on, Aile, Before he changes his mind!
Aile and X left for the hanger and rode towards downtown on their Ride Chasers.
Gaia waited near a building, hoping that Aile saw her email. She heard X and Aile ride up and went to meet them.
Gaia: I didn't think you'd actually show. I have a copy of Sigma's plot on this hard drive. it's supposed to be a mind control scheme that enslaves all humans in the world. I hope this is useful.
Aile: This will help us out a lot, thank you, Gaia.
Gaia was about to speak, when Sebastian and Seban jumped down. The brothers had seen everything.
Sebastian: Well, Well, Well. Looks like our little birdie chirped too much.
Seban: Sigma will definitely promote us, especially when we take out the traitor!
Gaia guarded X and Aile from the twins. She tried not to look scared, but deep down, she was very worried.
Gaia: This isn't good...
