My wife Sandy has been preparing dinner for the kids pizza wraps tonight. When she made a start by cutting a capsicum in half, the first thing that came to mind was that famous painting titled "Scream" (originally called 'The Scream of Nature'). It was painted in 1893 by the artist Edvard Munch.
He got his inspiration going on a simple walk; he once said:
'One evening I was walking along a path, the city was on one side and the fjord below. I felt tired and ill. I stopped and looked out over the fjord—the sun was setting, and the clouds turning blood red. I sensed a scream passing through nature; it seemed to me that I heard the scream. I painted this picture, painted the clouds as actual blood. The colour shrieked. This became The Scream'.
I guess Sandy's inspiration was getting hungry and a sense of humour, as well as flavour. Good call Chooky.
