Porter Place: Train Car

This early 20th century (late teens) passenger train car is being restored and converted into a ''green" home with all wind and solar power, recycled grey water, zeroscaping and propane heating. You can see the cows cooling off over by the water under the shade trees off in the distance. The train car was moved to the Porter Place Ranch in August of 2008. The Porter Place Ranch is a centennial ranch in the panhandle of Texas and has been in the same family for 120 years. We are building upon the past in consideration for our future.
