forgot to add: gully goes by any pronouns, wonderworks goes by he/him !
1. Gully, when they were younger, struggled a lot with identity and violence. Gully is half griffon, and half dragon, two races that have an incredibly thorough history of violence and alienation of those who don't conform. Her parents abandoned her while she was in the egg an from then on tossed between the Badlands and Griffonstone. Their egg hatched in the Badlands, and as they grew, his appearance was cause for concern and disgust among other dragons. They don't like mixing with others after all, and this subjected Gully to a lot of bullying. In an attempt to connect with their other heritage as a griffon, they were subjected to even more scour and dislike, as griffons are hardly ever friendly to each other, much less outsiders. It seemed no matter where they went, Gully was going to receive contempt. So they began to fight and work their way up the ladder by force, doing everything they could to make a name for themselves.
Another thing, Gully was incredibly skinny in the beginning of their life. Their diet is incredibly on the fence, since griffons typically eat fish and things similar and dragons eat gems for the most part. Not to mention, you often have to get through a pecking order in both the dragon and griffon world to get your meals. Gully was at the bottom, so they barely got any sustainable meals from either family.
2. Wonderworks is an incredibly stubborn insomniac. He can and will stay up for days, whether its writing or brooding or whatever the hell he does. That's when big gun Gully comes in and tries to sing him a very bad, possibly flirty lullaby in an attempt to lull him to sleep. Wonderworks pretends to conk out if it'll make him shut up, but he often times does end up actually falling asleep.
3. Wonderworks enjoys gambling. A lot. Probably too much. After all, everyone is equal when it comes down to luck, no matter unicorn, earth pony, hippogriff or what have you. He's an expert at Poker, but by god does he have his bad days. He's a master bluffer and is admittedly very sexy when he's playing against a bunch of other leaders from various companies or organizations. What's not so sexy is when he'll have to get dragged out by the bouncers and his fat griffgon buddy goes "I told you so."
