three three chees

YEP three sisters....surprisingly not triplets: Cheerilee, Jasmine Leaf, and Kinder Garden.

ANYWAY yeah have....these three...and yes I know what i said about Cheerilee....but this post isnt it


This family of purple horses, Leafs, has had many siblings come and go since they're a foster family. But these three are the biological children of their parents, who would go on to foster many in their time in Manehatten. While it was a happy family (usually), it was lots of hard work. Their mother was sick, and their father was working, so they often had to take care of the many kids who would come through. They had a large house, but the only reason they could keep it was because they spread the foster money thing between the kids and their mother's condition. The father knew what they were doing, but also knew that the mother wanted nothing more than to be surrounded by lovely kids and help others. Even if they were struggling with budget, he would bring back stray animals he'd found or even homeless people to help them. It was stressful for the girls, since they just seemed to be another piece of their parents' feel good puzzle and didn't get the specific attention they needed at all times. But when it was just the family, it was great.

When their mother's condition turned for the worst, they went ahead and moved to a smaller house and tried to be more frugal. The sisters, all in their teens now, worked hard for both each other, and their mother, up until the end. It hit them all hard, but it hit them all differently... and they all agreed to pursue what they wanted and help others along their way to satisfy both themselves and their mothers wishes.

Cheerilee (Full name: Cherry Leaf)

Cheerilee is best known for being the teacher at Ponyville's elementary school, but in her own family, she's practically known as the savior. Since a young age, she's been extremely helpful in taking care of her sisters and anyone who's come in. She learned how to speak earlier than most, and practically seemed to grow faster than the others. Which is surprising, because she was practically a stillborn. They put her in an incubator, and wholly expected her to die. But she shocked everybody by kicking and crying the very next day.

She's always been responsible and looking out for her sisters, knowing how to cook and sew and all these things that her parents never got to teach her...so she just learned them on her own. She taught her sisters as well, even going as far as to take them to clubs and classes to get them out of their shells. Even with the foster kids, she was extremely appreciative and open to them, even if they were harder cases. Though she could lose her patience, she never meant badly. Now she's content teaching the youth of Ponyville after getting a degree in children's education. She's been all over Equestria, but Ponyville stuck with her.

Jasmine Leaf has always looked up to her sister, and while she was always shyer and taking the backseat in all of the home affairs, she was a lot more boisterous and happy when she got out of the house. She felt like she wasn't suffocated by the responsibility of helping at home, and sometimes would end up acting up or getting in trouble because of it. At school she struggled with both that and the thought if she didn't get As, her parents would hate her (even though they never said that), she just felt like she had to do her best or else...maybe they'd replace her with one of the kids they always brought in. Although she would never tell anyone but her own sisters this, she always had a fear of being replaced. 

Luckily, making tea would help calm her down and also help her mother. It was her specialTEA. aha--ahem. She would brew teas to help with her mom's various symptoms, and even just to have cute tea parties with her sisters. When she realized she was serious about this and how it could help others, she began to study and perfect the art of tea making. Although to do this, she would have to travel long and far, so she guiltily waited until her mother's passing to start her journey, and do her best at it in her mother's name. Despite being a traveler for both finding and selling teas, finding new recipes and such, she does fondly recall her more taboo lifestyle she had in school, what with juggling getting As and being a partime delinquent...ah, the joy she got from spray painting and hanging with the wrong crowd... it was a rush! And she had to admit, going on these long treks up mountains to find rare herbs always secretly fed that thrill seeking part of her.

Kinder Garden (Original name: Garden Leaf, added Kinder after her cutie mark appeared)

Kinder Garden has struggled with issues since she was young. She's had autism and ADHD, and a slew of ponies being introduced to her house every couple of months never did help. She would get attached and then become absolutely heartbroken every single time, even if it had taken her the full couple of months to get used to them, it hurt every time they had to go. She always had a big heart, and even if she was scared of talking to people, she always did it because she thought that was the nice thing to do and that it would help. Being completely oblivious to social cues when people are crying or being upset does help at times. She's willing to just get in there and help, even if it's just by being there.
