"Ah, welcome to the Canterlot Castle, Ms...?"
"T--Tree...STOMP! Tree Stomp."
"Not...Tree Stump?"
"Did I stutter?"
"Well, yes....but I digress."

This massive, buff rough and tough unicorn charged through the Canterlot doors with a mission and a vengeance. And a very nervous speech as to why she should be able to join the guard, and when told by the Queens that yes, she could come in next week during recruitment tests, Tree Stomp broke into a loud, malicious evil laugh....followed by an "I understand." Then confidently strut off.
Needless to say, from the first entrance, the Queens' attention had been taken by her. But as she continued to work in the castle, bring up ideas and plans, well...they only fell further. She was amusing at parties, all guests loved such a rock presence that kept the room feeling safe and secure. She snapped at anyone who questioned authority, and kinda seemed to suck up to the Queens, offer her services at every turn...
In retrospect, she was probably just finding opportunities to kidnap or assassinate them, buuuut Chrysalis admits that over time she was just stupidly crushing on them....after maybe the first few months. Before that, yeah, she was definitely looking for opportunities to kill them.
Besides that, Tree Stomp was a bomb ass soldier weven if she was socially inept. She knew how to plan, lead, and strategize, even negotiate and manipulate. Everyone respected her and everyone listened to all she had to say. Now that she was one of the Queens, they didn't have a choice! But she does enjoy going around the castle in her Tree Stomp form, and for taking strolls through towns or onto missions.
