GROUP SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

WELCOME TO

PLEASE READ FIRST

This is a CONTEST group exclusively for Photomanipulation artists.

We are accepting Stock Resources as well.

We organize monthly contests with points as prizes.

Artworks must include credits and proper links to the stocks used. Please be careful of using illegitimate stocks, you can read here about them: Illegitimate Stock and Copyright InfringementIllegitimate stock is something the Photo Manipulation Artist must always be on the watch for due to copyright laws and art theft. We can have our own work removed, or even legally sued if we used stolen stock to create our artwork so it's important to understand how to check if the stock we are using is being provided by the owner of the stock images.
Sadly, while there are many many phenomenal stock providers on DeviantArt, there are also a few who offer the use of stock images that they do not have the legal rights to, so even here, we must make sure to check the stock we would like to use when the stock artist is unknown to us. It's a little time consuming at first until you learn how to do it, then it just becomes second nature and is an invaluable part of the process of becoming proficient as a photo manipulation artist.
We don't want our reputation tarnished if (and when) we become good enough at this art to do this professionally and our reputation as artists begins now, plus,

Artworks must have used at least 2 stocks, just use of filters and paints is not 'Photomanipulation'.

Non-contest artworks can also be submitted in this group. Submission limits are 2 Artworks per day and this pertains to stock resources as well.

We don’t accept artworks with pornography, excessive blood and violence, racist or fetish contents; Eye, Lips and other areas of the bodies as a macromanipulation; artworks with too poor quality, WIPs and Before/Afters.

Only deviants with a minimum of 3-5 artworks in their galleries will be accepted to join.

GENERAL CONTESTS RULES

You must be a member to be able to participate.

Your entry must be made after the contest date.

You must include in your artwork's description:

1. Our group icon
2. The contest name
3. The link to a contest journal.

When you are finished with your masterpiece submit it to the CONTEST FOLDER

Entries are limited to 2
submissions per artist but only ONE entry can win.

EVALUATION OF ARTWORKS

Contest entries will be judged & assessed according to the following aspects:

Best execution according to the theme of the contest.
Good composition and blending.
Concept and creativity.
And lastly, technique.

We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time.

November and December is:

You have to create any NON-REALISTIC forest scene for this challenge. It maybe a dreamscape, a scene from a fairytale or something scary. The main thing is that your entry must contain an unrealistic element, making your forest magical.

Illegitimate Stock sites

Recently with an influx of so many sites offering free stock images for manipulation artists it has become kinda difficult to prove the legitimacy of the images provided therein. And especially for new or amateur artists who aren't aware of the copyright issues or the legitimacy rights of those images, and so they tend to go for ones where stocks are being offered in png formats.

Two such sites have come to my notice where most of the images are either stolen from other artists or taken from google or all over the internet.

I recommend you to please refrain from using images from the above mentioned sites.
This journal is just to give a heads-up to all my watchers/friends who are manipulation artists to be careful of where they download stock images from. And also henceforth any artists who makes use of images from these sites or any other png format inundated ones, their artworks will not be accepted in -

and always ask me how I know? how to identify?. so I decide to post a journal with many tip,

first...the things written here in this journal, I did a long search. and I'm doing this to help and inform people about this subject.
and first I'll tell because I started getting interested in this subject. three things happened that made me pay attention in this detail.
1 - a long time ago, I used the stock from pixabay in some premades. and unfortunately I did not know that this site is not reliable, so I was denounced and I had all my contents posted in stock removed.
2 - I used a premade, but the person who did this premade used a stock that was not allowed to be used, and this premade was denounced and people who used also have been denounced and had my manipulation was moved to scrap for infringed copyright.
3 - I used a PNG, and after
