Painting Magenta Light by StewartSteve Painting Magenta Light by StewartSteve
Taken with 8 Second Exposure @ F/22 using a pen light to outline the brush, then cover the light with a red painted plastic diffuser to give the effect of smoky red light

Minimal use of photoshop (contrast/brightness and curve adjustment layer)

I can't really claim the concept to be mine unfortunantly, based opn a featured work in November '07 of Popular Photography - just taken until now (and new camera) to get around to trying it, really liked the results too - will be experimenting alot more with long exposure I think :-)
