I am a freelance Concept Artist and Writer. I believe the painting must tell a story and invoke a feeling in the audience.

I'm a self-taught artist and through the years I have been a musician, a fighter, a soldier, machinist, salesman, and a father. I have jumped out of airplanes; written songs and short stories; hold degrees in Web Design and Network Administration; extensive background in communications and computer science. I have always loved movies and animation, which eventually led me into video editing, then into Digital Arts. Though I have always been able to draw, I, unfortunately,, had no official training other than "Art Appreciation" and "Technical Drawing" courses. So through a lot of time, effort, tutorials, and guidance from others, I have been able to fill in some of the missing pieces.

Eventually I realize that throughout the years I have been building skills that are an asset to digital artists. My mechanical skills are a great asset in 3D modeling and concept art; Athletics and understanding of movement have helped with animation; Musical, Audio/Video skills are required for even the shortest animation; and while being an avid movie watcher, I had been training my eye. Art is a life long journey ...there will always be something new to learn.
