Honestly, I am getting so tired of seeing so many stupid sexy pictures/paintings/drawings of girls. It seems like most men just learn to draw so they can draw boobs and butts. Can you not be more creative? Can you not draw an audience without it?
Call me old fashioned, but we should have a little more tact in our art. Sex sells, but it's cop out.

I was brushing my teeth and I just kept thinking about my future as an artist.
I love art, I can't help but DO art. When I was a kid and I drew I had no idea in the world that I could ever make a career out of art. It didn't hit me until I was 21 that I could do what I LOVE for a living.
I am so passionate about art, it's a part of me, and an integral part of my personality. There are so many times I'm looking through my deviantart notifications and seeing all these amazing pieces of art and they are SO much better than what I can do (for now) and this passion, this fire, just wells up inside me and I just NEED to do art.
I HAVE to do this
The last few weeks I've realized how crucial practice is. EVEN if just for a few minutes a day, it makes such a difference. In my life drawing/anatomy class I've made sure to practice every thursday ( I usually just trace out pictures from an anatomy book and draw wire frames over them or planes and shade them) and it has thoroughly helped my art.
One thing I've been thinking about lately is memory. How is it that we stare at people all day long (maybe not stare) and yet the average person couldn't draw a human to save their lives? But we see it every day! We see our own bodies up close every day!
