Part of my new 'Greatest Hits' t-shirt collection (see link at bottom). I think this was from my second or third shoot with Masuimi Max. We had met a few years earlier at a convention in Las Vegas. At the time, she was living in Dallas and would make frequent trips to LA for photoshoots. This particular photo was shot in the loft space of my friend Scot Ezzell in downtown LA before it became gentrified - when the Artists District was actually occupied by artists. Fun fact: Madonna shot parts of her 'Borderline' video at this same location back in the early '80s. Concerning the photo, some people assume her small waist was Photoshopped but it was not. It's slightly deceiving because, although still tiny, it looks even smaller because she's leaning forward (and I'm below her) thus making her mid-section further back, thus looking smaller. I took two exposures of this image, one with eyes open and one with eyes closed. I've used both images. The image is the cover of my 2005 DVD "Living Through Steve Diet Goedde" (Slish Pix) and features the closed eyes version. It was photographed with available light at the bend of an interior stairwell. Shot with my Mamiya 645 with Tmax 400 film.

And that waist is truely stunning.

Well engineered corset.
