From my first shoot with Jillian Ann in 2001. It was shot on the side of my house when I lived in Hollywood. It was one of those lighting moments that only lasted a few minutes. It was up to me to recognize it at the time and take full advantage of it.

No, we had just met shortly before the shoot. As with most of my shoots, I like to improvise at a predetermined location. So once the model's dressed and ready to go, we just explore the area together, and I take shots as I see them. Total improv and spontaneity!
Captures her grace and beauty perfectly. I used her for the cover model and inside model for one of my poetry books (the internal work was pictures of her filtered via photoshop to take on the aspect of pen and ink drawings as in early 20th century books), she is astonishingly photogenic.
At my funky old apartment my kitchen window faced a building across the street that had gold windows... Just before sunset my kitchen was filled with this amazing soft gold light for only just a few minutes, I only ever managed to get one set of photos from it, but alas they have been lost to the void. It was like having the magic hour in my own home. In short, (too late) I too love finding lighting like that and using it as fast as possible... Beautiful shot.
