My parents came down with the dogs today. My two beautiful puppies who I absolutly adore, of course, needed a pristine looking flat to run around in and put muddy pawprints everywhere. So, I spent all morning tidying up making the thing spotless. I cleaned up the bathroom, tidied up some loose stuff that had been left on the sides. Organised the kitchen, the list goes on. However, my mum, who I will confess is a bit of a neat freak, bemoaned the floor and the fridge. Oh, boy. The floor needed a quick hoover. Okey, that's fine. But she said the fridge looked very empty :/ She then gave me a 15 minute lecture about how I need to eat more and Aldi sell ham and ready cooked meats and ready meals if I really don't want to cook (ready meals actually make me ill).

In order to appease the parents, because frankly I don't care so long as I have food. (Even though I'm aware I should probably care). I have a tonne of frozen leftovers I'm going to use for lunch, but I need to stop shopping like a single university student living alone. *cough*

And I need to start shopping like someone who knows what the fuck they're doing. Plus, I got pretty darn ill earlier on in the year and I lost a tonne of weight so diet time? Diet time. (By the literal definition of the word, not the weight-loss variety).

So, that just leaves dinner and I'm probably the worlds worst cook. So...Shrug
Monday - Pasta
Tuesday - Fried salmon salad
Wendnesday - Noodles and steak
Thursday - Stir-fry chicken
Friday - Pizza
Saturday - Ice cream (post-driving lesson) + Spaghetti
Sunday - Soup (use up all the vegetables from during the week)

Wow, I'm a terrible cook xD It is worth mentioning thought that all of the above is cooked from scratch. No tinned or frozen stuff here. Pasta is made with tomatoes to make up the sauce and a tonne of vegetables. The spaghetti is the only thing out of a tin. The noodles are curried and made with peas and green beans with mozerella cheese. The salad is with kale (I may be the only person in the world who unironically likes kale). I cook a pretty good steak. Stir-fry is easy, pizza is me being all kinds of lazy because on a Friday I'll be worn out from work. Then on sunday I'll use up my leftovers from durting the week. Its the perfect plan (place your bets now on how long until this plan fails spectuacually. < That word. I must google how to spell that word. Even spell-check said 'you're on your own kiddo, can't help you there. You're past redemption.')

So, I went out shopping and got all the stuff I need, some of the stuff I already had. I didn't manage to get everything, but I managed to get most things. All said, me and my parents went out for lunch, so I had quite a big meal so it wouldn't take much effort to get some pasta. Normally, I work Mondays, but it was a bank holiday so I got the day off.

With my shopping done it was time to do some C# stuff. After that, it was back to art! And... Oh yeah, the dreaded 100 Loomis heads from different angles! *sigh* I was trying to think of a way I could do this, keep it interesting and still get it done in a reasonble time period. I headed to line of action line-of-action.com/ a figure drawing website, and decided to use that took specifically for drawing the head. I found out that it does indeed have a facial expression section that would serve my purpose nicely. I set the timer to 1 minute and blasted into it. I used a thick B3 pencil to try and encourage myself to draw less tightly and keep it loose. A thicker core encourages me to do this since it allows for less detail. After about 50 I took a break, walked around, had a smoothie and then looked back on what I'd done. The issue was early on I was trying (and failing) to also add in the features and expressions and wow it is a thing of nightmares. Regardless, onwards! At about 71 I started drastically running out of space, that was when I started making use of the margins. Once I finally reached 100 the page was looking very full.

Next, it was time to work on The 40 Sleep. I needed a better plan for future chapters, otherwise the plot would go on forever and not lead anywhere. My outline had long since vanished out of the window. Since I uploaded yesterday I thought I'd focus today on writing up a decent outline. I wrote up the outline and I'm pretty sure that this will make future chapters easier to write. I won't say anything, you'll just have to see what develops.

It’s spelled spectacularly, if you're still wondering. I find it interesting that you like kale. I don't like it raw, it feels like some bitter cloud of darkness is released into my mouth when I crunch it, but it’s great in minestrone.

Also, there’s a cooking channel on YouTube that I enjoy called JunsKitchen. Some of the recipes are pretty easy, and they all look good. I know this because I tried making a few, and I’m pretty bad at cooking. Still turned out good. Hope you get better soon.
