I am very excited to say that over the weekend (Sunday evening), I hit 50,000 pageviews!

Although I like them, I've never really fixated on pageviews, but I'm delighted by the current daily rates, which hopefully mean more people are viewing features like this and finding incredible art! Naturally, features are made up of others' art, not mine, so I can't take too much credit for them (aside from aesthetic presentation and thematic appeal), but making lists and piecing everything together is what I love to do as an art
appreciator. Speaking of which, I appreciate all of you as well, who have supported me throughout the years.
The point of all this is that I knew I would be reaching 50k soon, and I thought that it might be nice to couple the (admittedly minor) milestone with a certain feature I had been wanting to do for awhile, and had recently been tagged to participate in. You have probably heard of this project, started by
Mrs-Durden a month ago:
"Welcome to a Community Volunteer project in which we will be highlighting our favourite Daily Deviations featured within the recent weeks! We would like to encourage the community to join in on this project by simply going through the Daily Deviations page and collecting some of their favourite pieces of art within a journal titled "My Daily Deviation Highlights"! We hope this project will help spread awareness and love for Daily Deviations and our fellow deviant artists! Use the hashtag #DDHighlights so we can find your journals!
(...) You may choose to feature deviations from all categories, or you can focus your journals on a specific category such as Photography, Fan Art, Manga/Anime or whatever suits you! This is a very open project in which creativity in the way you choose to highlight Daily Deviations is welcome and encouraged!"
This project allows for uniqueness, so I decided to deviate
heh heh and feature items that were given Daily Deviations throughout the month I joined
—March 2005. These works show that even though the website and the people who make it up have gone through many changes, at the bottom of all this is a wealth of beautiful artwork waiting to be found.
I urge everyone reading this to participate (but then again, I'm biased, and would urge everyone to do features in general

). In the way of totally negotiable (because they're sometimes annoying) tags (which ignore a number of people who have already done one), I choose:
Anfalas,
adorell,
techgnotic, &
ScarletWarmth!

If you're reading this and want to join in, don't wait for a silly tag, have at it!

Enjoy a look back at March 2005.
