Caledonia is the sole preserved, working steam locomotive from another railway company that once existed in the Isle of Man called the Manx Northern Railway. This engine is unique in that it is an 0-6-0T loco, and was built by Dübs and Company of Glasgow, as opposed to Beyer Peacock & Co. of Manchester like the other locomotives of the 2-4-0T wheel arrangement. The Manx Northern Railway also had some very beautiful 2-4-0T engines built by Sharp, Stewart & Co. of Manchester for the opening of their line to Ramsey.
