CareersThere are 3 main occupations to choose from, but you can only choose ONE as your career.
Each job has different perks, bonuses, and abilities associated with it, so be sure to pick the one you feel will suit you the best.
These careers are Player-Bound, meaning the perks are attached to you and not an individual Stryx.
Each Career has 3 tiers - Novice, Apprentice, and Master
Each tier requires 3 entries be completed in order to earn their perks.
The higher you climb in your career, the better your perks become!
Images must include handler and a background, unless otherwise stated.
(Lit. option = 800 words minimum)
Career prompt entries cannot be doubled up with other entries-- for example, the Survivalist prompts cannot be rolled as hunting/fishing or counted as hunting/fishing AP, and Champion prompts cannot be used
Winter Stryx Salon (2018)Just bought a Makeover Kit or Mutation Tonic and need to gussy up your dragon?
Got to 75AP and want to apply some paint and accessories?
Well, this is where to do it!
If you just want to make a small tweak to a marking (such as to clean up an edge, or blend, etc.) you don't need a Makeover Kit or 75 AP proof, but the design overall must look the same. You cannot change marking shape/coverage/color or beak/feet/flesh color without a Makeover Kit.
A design admin will go over your changes and let you know if anything needs to be fixed, or will approve your request!
If you are asked to make corrections, please comment again in the Salon with the previous and new design.
Do NOT comment in Design Corrections!
Only ONE request per comment, please!
FOR ADDING ACCESSORIES
You may make MINOR changes to lineart after you've reached 75AP for that Stryx (i.e. a small tuft of feathers here or there, very small beak adjustment, etc.
"What's that you have there?? Why, it's a Stryx egg! Hand it here, dear!"
Simply comment with linked proof of the egg you found while Scavenging or participating in an event, and Granny will help you to hatch it!
TrainingDomesticated Draco Stryx are not born knowing how to fly and hunt, so it is up to their riders and other Stryx to teach them how to survive. Not only this, but all dragons rely on this early training so that they can bond with their riders or other Stryx in a series of feats called Tributes. It is through these Tributes that a Stryx and rider learn how to connect and communicate with each other, and as a result learn many things about themselves along the way.
You may include a maximum of up to 3 Stryx in Training images.
You can not re-use or recolor these images! All Training entries must be original.
If a rider or companion stryx is required in the prompt, you must either have one rider per participating stryx, or (if completing the prompts for wild stryxes) one non-participating companion stryx for up to two other stryxes being trained.

"Geno" - Short for 'Genotype'. A Geno is a string of letters (ee/aa/ss/etc) that represents a baby Stryx. When the word 'Geno' is mentioned, it is reference to a Stryx that has not yet been designed or uploaded to the EyeOfGalyx masterlist account.
"Import" - An 'Import' is the sheet/template that a Stryx's design is presented on. It also references importing a Stryx into the area from another place (ICly).
"Slot" - A 'Slot' is a breeding to a Stryx that you can buy or trade for. You are not buying the Stryx itself, you are buying the rights to breed it with your own Stryx and keep its progeny. If you do not have a Stryx yet and you've bought a slot, in order to produce anything from it you will have to buy another slot to a Stryx of the opposite sex.
"Starter" - A 'Starter' is a group-owned Stryx with no
