A detailed guide about how to extract models and textures from this game. The goal is to make even newbies be able to extract this. Might extend later for sounds.
This might also work with other Frostbite engine games.
Note: This tutorial is based entirely on id-daemon's tools for Frostbite games. There are other programs that may be able to extract this game aswell but they will not be covered here.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What you need:
- A full version of the game, downloaded and installed on your PC (for example, 3,99€ if you get Origin Access Trial for one month)
- id-daemon's UFBE (Universal Frostbite Extractor)
- also his current mesh and face fixing tools
- Noesis or alternatively, if you have Photoshop, Intel DDS plugins
Optional if you want to learn how to apply face-fix poses permanently:
- Blender 2.79 (it's also on Steam)
- Source Tools for Blender
- XPS .mesh.ascii importer for Blender
(if you have problems installing plugins to Blender check this tutorial)

1. Archive Extraction with UFBE
A guide on UFBE functions and how to extract the whole game or seperate assets.
2. Mesh and Texture Extraction
Using Fb_SWBF2_mesh.exe to obtain rigged models. This also covers how to get meshes with multiple UV channels.
Extracting Textures with Batch_Itexture_Converter_SWBF2.exe and converting them to a useable format using Noesis.
3. Fixing-Face Pose Extraction
This section covers how to extract the poses needed to fix ugly face distortion on Frostbite engine games using Fb_SWBF2_faces.exe.
4. Fixing Faces with Blender
A tutorial on how to apply the face fixing poses in Blender and make them the permanent rest pose.
Note 2: For reasons of simplification Windows Explorer is used. I am much more comfortable with Total Commander so please excuse if anything i say might be inefficient.
Note 3: Apologies for my system locale being German. The buttons are in the same area whatsoever, so this still works regardless.
Note 4: I try to maintain this with up-to-date links to tools and update it. In case i mess up or forget something you can contact me on deviantart, Facepunch or Xentax.
