Grim was not the kind of Stygian to be… emotional. She loved Bruise, and she loved mischief and excitement, but anything remotely sad? Or depressed? That was not Grim. She prided herself on being a force of positive energy and chaos. Perhaps, were she not so blind-sided by this whole thing, she would be more able to look upon this as some kind of opportunity for some fun. Being a miniature Stygian it wasn’t often that she got to experience being even smaller than usual, and as such she might be able to fit into previously inaccessible areas looking for secrets.
As it is though, she felt awful. Her head hurt and her stomach was feeling particularly upset. Not being able to move properly was, frankly, quite terrifying. Grim was not easily scared, but this had rattled her. Not that she would admit it.
How was she going to get out of this mess? And where was everyone else?
Her legs trembled as she finally managed to get into a standing position, feeling her head spin as she tried to look around again. Frustratingly, walking was no easier than getting up, and she sank back onto her haunches to sit miserably.
This was no longer any fun.
She’d been fed up for a while anyway, finding that she had little choice but to chip in and help her team leader, Melchior, in their various tasks, and this was just perfect. She wanted to go home, this stupid town had gotten on her last nerve, she wanted to go and curl up with Bruise and forget the whole thing.
Oh no… Bruise… Had this happened to her too!?
On top of the fear and sadness, she felt panic wash over her now. There had to be some way out of this… whatever it is, and Grim was going to find it.
She struggled back to her feet and began the agonizing task of simply moving, resigning herself to having to search with just her eyes and ears, seeing as her voice seemed to refuse to work any more.
This was awful.
