Flot

Flot are typically big creatures native to the salt flats. They store water and nutrients in their large humps, much like camels, but don't mistake them for herbivores! These creatures are equal opportunity eaters and will chomp on anything that gets too close to them. Due to the inhospitable nature of their habitat, they often lie in wait for their food, similarity to crocodiles. Their coloring and ability to lie incredibly still allows them to blend in with their salt flat surroundings and they're often mistaken for rocks and boulders by other creatures passing by. An unsuspecting traveler looking for a bit of shade might soon find themselves in a fight for their life if they pick a boulder that isn't actually a boulder in Flot territory. They are typically singular creatures though, and rarely travel or live together except when young.
