Raktaphage

A leech-like creature that feeds on the barrier of Antikutan, often dropping itself on passers-by to add fresh meat to its diet. The Raktaphage's 'tail' fills with energy, and when threatened, can detach and erupt. Its vestigial tails grow into new energy sacs when it performs this attack - during a breeding season, these small, translucent sacs can also house juvenile Raktaphages as they grow, feeding off their parent.
