Blue Mystic - Colored by starwoodarts Blue Mystic - Colored by starwoodarts
I decided to color Blue Mystic with colored pencils. Not sure why everything I color tends to be rainbow like. LOL... but, here he is... greeting the fairy in the woods.

Original is for sale $25
Prints for $5

Wow, so beautiful. I can't imagine this as the lineart version (even if you showed me it), because the colours play a simply perfect role. :aww:

I really like the way you contrasted the yellow and the blue. And I really like the expression on the cat, it looks just like what a real cat would look like when presented with a small moving thing. :)

Even though this is pretty and the fur is may be little smoother and the texture on the left looks great, I still somewhat prefer the uncoloured version because of its quite dark, intense atmosphere with a mystic touch. This doesn't have the same mood in it even though it's very cute. The profile of the cat is adorable and sweetly round<3

thanks for the feedback! yes, definitely two different moods. just was having some fun with my colored pencils. i've been working on exploring lots of different media lately to see what i click with most. i was just so happy with how the kitty's face turned out in my sketch that i wanted to keep working with it :)

Yup, experiments are always good - and they are quite relaxing, takes your thoughts away from things when you don't have to be so serious with the work all the time. 83 Or at least I feel so, my experiments are always more for fun even though the purpose of them is to learn something on the way.
