"Life is too short to be sane or sensible."
Sanity is overrated anyway.
Wintertime is my favourite time of the year. Christmas is my favourite holiday. It's beautiful and warm and everything I wait for all year. Coffee is my drug, and thunderstorms calm me down. My mind works at a mile a minute, and I've got terrible insomnia because of it.
Greatest inspirations come from music, literature, and other artists.
Favourite artists would be Burton, Kinkade, Monet, VanGough, and select people under my Watch list.
Music is the one thing I cannot live without. Lately, I've been on an Irish kick, specifically the High Kings. Sinatra and the Rat Pack are the light of my life. Spektor, Mumford & Sons, and Bon Iver are also a few of my favourites.
Books are another thing I'd be lost without. Potter, 1984, To Kill a Mockingbird, Reacher, The Giver, and The Hobbit are the top of my list, not necessarily in that order. Best writers would be Poe, H C Anderson, L Child, Rowling, Orwell, H Lee, and C S Lewis. Again, no particular order.
I don't watch a lot of television. Really more of a music person. Not a lot of movies, either. But, I love the Potter movies, Lord of the Rings, The Philadelphia Story, Auntie Mame, Finding Neverland, and anything of Burton's. I'm big on old, black and white films. What little television I watch would be Criminal Minds, The Glades, Whose Line, The Nanny, and Once Upon a Time.
Tools of the trade are 6B graphite, watercolors, oil colors, and --hopefully for Christmas-- inks.
Recently, I've suffered an art identity crisis. I dunno what I want my art to look like. I've gotten away from what I wanted originally, when I started over. Please bear with me as I try and find my niche.
