Description
The newest reference for my first fanfoal ever, and of my MLP OTP; Pinkiedash. Want to be shocked? Her only reference officially, though I've drawn her often, is actually her first picture! I made her up way back in 2011! Now, honestly, at first glance, she's a lot like a clone of Pinkie, but I actually have developed her personality more than that, but not just that, while she does closely resemble her mother, I have a list of design notes about her... ok, a few, but they're important to me.
- Unintentionally, and this may be subject to change, she has a different wing model than most pegasi, but only very slightly, with her last wingtip rounded off.
- Her eyes are much more similar to Fluttershy's than either of her mothers, in that they come to a peak rather than being a circle, though the eyelashes are more pointed, like Pinkie Pie's.
- While at first glance, her mane and tail are copies of Pinkie Pie, if simplified, her tail and forelock (bottom mane) are modeled after soft serve ice cream, mixed with Pinkie's hair, ending up more resembling Diamond Tiara's tail and mane than Pinkie Pie's, with the top of her mane being again a softer, more rounded and simplified version of Pinkie's mane, or a poofier
Sugar Rush, just like her mother, has a full human-ish name, at Pinkie's insistence; Sugaranne Jennifer Rush. She is, as I've said above, Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash's daughter, and while most ponies kneejerk her behavior as a copy of her mama Pinkie's personality, and while that's undeniable that she's certainly her mama's daughter, she's no clone. While she does have a lot of little eccentricities, she's nowhere near the 4th wall breaking strange cartoon powered stretchy taffy of a pony Pinkie is, only having a few oddities up her sleeve. She shares something with Rainbow Dash that's a bit out of the ordinary, the ability to shape her mane into caricatures of other ponies, although her mane is more prone to staying in a recognizable shape as her own. She also can, if not paying attention (rule of funny) fly or walk in the air without flapping her wings, as long as she is unaware of this fact. She's also, even with a mommy like Dash, just a little too fast, or at least, able to get to places even though you swore she was behind you and you never saw her catch up, but nowhere near as ridiculous as Pinkie's chase scene antics. Just a bit too fast.
Flame Burst's loving marefriend, Sugar Rush is a real 'mom friend', even to her marefriend, she's always a bit..like that. She inherited a lot of her mama's love of seeing other ponies happy and making them happy, and her mom's protective side, meaning she's kind of the team mom to nearly every friendship she has. She and Flame Burst live in the same house, with Flame Burst's little sister Muddy May, to whom Sugar Rush is effectively her mom-sister, since she is the primary caretaker, considering Flame Burst's less than kind attitude to her little sister. She's also a stern person to her marefriend whenever there's just a little bit too much of a jerkass, which is rather often. She's mastered the 'I'm not mad, just disappointed' voice better than her own parents.
Growing up, Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash had adopted Scootaloo, making Sugar Rush her little sister by proxy, with 'Squirt' being a common nickname passed down from Rainbow Dash to Sugar Rush, and a lot of fun,though Scootaloo moved out eventually, she still keeps in contact with her. Most of the shenanigans weren't particularly related to sibling rivalry, but, well... having Pinkie Pie as a mom. For example, there was a terrible, horrible, unforgettable incident (Mainly based on this fanfiction, or at least the song was, NSFW-ish) when Pinkie found her Playmare magazines when Sugar Rush was a teen.

"Oh, you don't have to! It's perfectly healthy for young mares to like that, and it’s a totally natural thing to do!”
"MOM THIS ISN'T HELPING!"

The best part is that Rainbow Dash has to come in later with no idea what happened but her daughter's just permanently red-faced, eye twitching, fluffed up feathers, horror written over her whole body.
"What happened here?"
"Sugar Rush is dead."
"Sweetie, no you're not."
"I am dead and no necromancy will ever bring me back."
Rainbow couldn't get anything out of the 'dead' mare, so she asked her wife.
"What happened to Sugar Rush?"
"Oh, I found her playmare, that's all."
"...I didn't think that'd be that traumatizing.. but Celestia, really, that would be embarassing."
"Oh, I helped her understand it was perfectly ok!"
"You didn't give her the talk, did you?"
"Oh no, no of course not!"
"Oh, thank goodness."
"-I sang it!"
"Pinkie, I'm going to preface this fact with a reminder that I love you very much, but WHAT THE BUCK WERE YOU THINKING?"
"Singing helps everything?"
This incident is a forbidden topic. There are many like it, to be honest, of situations where, even as a mom, Pinkie's lack of tact led to embarrassment on Sugar Rush's part. She learns, but she's still a bit tactless. Sugar Rush loves her mama but she will never forgive her for that one time. There is no forgiveness for that incident. Her relationship to her other mom is far less fraught with horrific embarrassment, and more filled with trips to the Wonderbolts Stadium and on trips to Wonderbolts HQ, plus a few times just watching the cadets fuck up majorly; Sugar Rush didn't get the appeal until one of the cadets slammed into a wall and she discovered that slapstick is a form of comedy built on sadism, and that she couldn't help but laugh. She's grown out of it, she swears. Slapstick is just a bit too mean for her tastes nowadays, but she enjoyed watching her mom enjoy herself. Rainbow Dash has found herself as the 'responsible' parent in her relationship, which she never expected, but look at her now, she's the one explaining that, no, most Earth Ponies can't walk on clouds, or fly with their tails, please don't try to do that with your Earth Pony friends, it won't work. And no, most ponies can't appear in two places at once, just... assume if your Mama did it, it's probably not standard for most ponies.
She met Flame Burst during one of the many times Rainbow Dash took her to Wonderbolts Academy, as Flame Burst's mom, Spitfire, was instructing the new recruits, the two ran into each other as the only fillies hanging around the office, and bonded pretty quickly. They were best friends, Flame Burst constantly spouting off facts and opinions about how awesome the Wonderbolts are and how she was gonna be the best Wonderbolt that ever could be, though Sugar Rush couldn't help but notice that their moms would get a sad look on their faces whenever Flame Burst said that. Later on, when Flame Burst's stunted wing growth and lack of wing magic was revealed, the cheery bowtied filly quickly was replaced by a grumpy, misanthropic who never ever cared about the Wonderbolts, shut up, but Sugar Rush refused and continues to refuse to give up on her, no matter how grumpy and bitter Flame Burst gets.
They started dating as teenagers, before the incident of playmares that shan't be mentioned, and when both were adults, they moved in together, since Sugar Rush's job as a weatherpony was rather excessive, and when Soarin and Spitfire approached her with the question of whether or not they could ask her to take care for Muddy May, as Muddy has trouble living up in the clouds and they can't abandon their jobs, offering to pay for the extra...Sugar Rush would have accepted whether they paid or not, but they insisted.
Her special talent is similar to Vapor Trail's, being able to create winds with her wings that are imbued with Pegasus magic, but she focused on manipulating clouds. She got her cutie mark clearing out the sky so she and Flame Burst could fly kites, hence her cutie mark. She works as a weatherpony now.
