Aluminum wire, silvered copper wire, wood hairstick, and glass bead. Both the hairstick and the branch are around 6 inches long.
Bead detail: [link]
(The bead was the only one I had, and it came in a random grab bag, so it will be difficult to find another one like it once this one is sold.)

This is one of the biggest, "loudest" pieces I've made! Check back tomorrow for a necklace to rival it.

I love hairsticks! I just like the way they dangle. It's a beautiful piece.

I love the necklace! It's very eyecatching and beautiful. The photo, too, is very well done. If I were to critique, though, I would have to say that I think you pumped the contrast a little too hard. The reflection on the gem makes it a little more difficult to see. And in jewelry, crispness is essential. If the customer can't see every part clearly, they won't be as interested. Altogether, though, I really love the piece.

I usually get the best results using sunlight, but the light was really harshly bright today. This version was the only way to get it looking remotely good.

I'll probably have to re-shoot it though.

I see (: Go ahead and give it a try, let me know if you do! I'd love to see that version (:

I tried more photos, but realized quickly that any light level low enough to not make the bead shiny...also turned the scarf into a super dark black hole of "did you photoshop that?"

I posted one of those as a closeup, though, because it does make the gem clearer. [link]

Thanks for your input. :)
