2. "Never bite the hand that feeds you"
The first and arguably the most important rule a feline needs to learn about the city. Humans might not be faster, stronger, or able to win in a one on one fight, but they are the rulers of the city. And a feline who poses a threat to them has no place within their walls. It's time for your feline to learn that rule. You can choose whether it be the "hard way" (beating, excessive force) or the "easy way" (pets, cuddles, love, affection, TREATS!) but ultimately, they must learn this rule.

He was making good progress.
Perhaps just because he was tired of fighting the world.
Chains have been changed to simple ropes after a while.
Royer had never harmed any human. But neither was he the most approachable cat in his first months of being caged.
One day unexpected visit came as he was lead out of his cage on a rope by one of the guards.
His owners.
Or his previous owners.
They didn't come to get him, or just visit him.
He recognized the words. Recognized the way they held his hand in the palm of their hands.
Just like when they told him goodbye before leaving for a week or longer to get supplies for their work from different cities.
Just this time, there was tears in their eyes. And his too.
He was never going back home.
