Had lots of fun running around in the snowy forest as Tauriel today! I'm very excited about cosplaying Tauriel lately, since I'm officially going to Hobbitcon next april! Can't wait to run around in Germany with all my fellow Hobbit/LotR geeks Heart bum

Even more attention grabbing than the original Tauriel , there's almost a magical atmosphere in this shot.
Love it

Hey Starbit, I don't usually do a lot of commenting but just wanted to leave a message on this. I think you've done a fantastic job! This picture caught my eye straight away! Absolutely stunning and SO reminiscent of Evangeline Lilly's Tauriel, especially the look in your eyes - you've captured her perfectly whilst adding your own unique spin on it. LOVE all your cosplays - keep going girl! X

Don't listen to the haters. I think they are jealous or frustrated and feel good to badmouth everything. I think you've done a really good job. I absolutely love your costumes.

I know what it is, I just think it's silly.

The character was a creation of an author.  Most of these Tolkien themed costumes were designed by Ann Maskrey and Richard Taylor.

You cosplayers are taking the creations and designs of other people and trying to bring fame and attention to yourself.  And for those of you saying "I made it myself", NO, you made a cheap knockoff of the original work.  It's vain and childish, especially considering how seriously some of you take it.

If you want to model, by all means say "I think I'm attractive and I'm using cosplay as a guise for showing my pretty face off."  A true cosplayer would mention the original artists/designers in their captions..  People like you are just looking for attention and comments.

lol...Yeah.

Except the fact that Richard Taylor himself loves the idea of costume reproduction and is honored by it.

Having been to Weta myself in costume, they think it's pretty cool and flattering. Not everyone is out to make people think they're "attractive" or use it as avenues to propel personal agendas. Some actually love the process of costume design and the challenge of replicating costumes, along with the love of the character and their identification with them.

Hahaha wow..
You, sir, have issues. Hopefully you can sort them out instead of spewing hate on people you don't even know.

I love cosplay, but I think this guy has a point.. Most cosplayers portray their costumes off as their own creations and creativity... when in reality the original designers should get most of the credit.  And considering jayden isn't responding you probably blocked him, which isn't cool cuz everyone is entitled to an opinion.  Just because you don't like the opinion doesn't mean you should block the user so you can win the argument.

I'm free to block whomever I like, especially when they are being hateful and calling me vain for simply COSPLAYING. I'm not blocking to win an argument, I'm blocking because I don't feel like arguing with someone who clearly has a set opinion on being rude. Cosplaying is a craft, and is just another form of fanart. It's way for us to show appreciation of the characters and the design, and I don't really see anyone claiming the designs as their own. And I think it's reaaally weird that you neither seem to get the concept of cosplaying, but has an account named "Cosplay4", created today... Weird indeed.
