Welcome to Stand-Out-Shots
Welcome to Stand-Out-Shots where you will find some of the best images on DA!
The group is currently closed for submissions as we are looking for someone to take over. If no one has expressed interest before the end of the month, the group will close permanently.
Submitting to the group
There are a few rules that need to be followed when submitting to the group;
Submission Limit: 2 per folder per month.
You must be a member in order to submit your work.
Make sure to submit to the right folder, otherwise your photo will be declined.
Please submit your best photographs.
If your photo hasn't been accepted, don't be upset. Please try again with another image. If you wish to understand why it was declined, please feel free to leave a comment on the submission process and we will gladly tell you why.
What we are looking for in an image
No blurry or very grainy photos.
No highly overexposed or underexposed photos. (Like every rule, there are exceptions that can be made)
No DA Watermarks.
STRICTLY NO PHOTOMANIPULATIONS - We are a photography group only.
No stock images.
While you don't need to have the most expensive equipment, we are looking for high quality shots with good technical aspects (IE: good composition, correct exposure, interesting subject, focal point/s, creative lighting etc)
While editing is part of the process of photography and we love it, we generally wont accept over processed images that have lost their connection to real life.
All deviations must comply with DA's rules and regulations.
If at any time you have any questions or suggestions as to how we can improve the group, please feel free to send a note to the founder: Mouselemur, or alternatively, you can note the group directly.
Disclaimer: Stand-Out-Shots reserves the right to decline any submission subject to the admins decision. While we will try to be as fair and unbiased in our submission process, there will be times when your image gets declined. We will provide a reason if requested. However don't take it as a stab at your ability as a photographer, rather see it as an opportunity to further grow as a photographer
