For *intergalacticstock's Out of This World contest.

A lot of people have regrets about picking their username, but don't want to make a new account. But I say you have to make meaning to your username if you don't like it. That is why I say it was written in the stars that Kristina picked that username, and that is just what she did with the contest - make meaning to the name. So that is what's going on here in this picture from my standpoint.

And oh my god, I want to just die now. :dead: I never thought I would finish this thing because of midterms slowing me down. Several new things happened for me in this thing... For one, I have never put that much effort into a background, and this one was very important, and I think I'm satisfied. For another, although I used to pick black haired people to vector, I no longer fear blondes. The hair took me many tries and retries to get right, and now I just love it.

Please-oh-PLEASE view the details, folks, I don't think that the small screen can do all the work justice.

NOTE: I made the stars in an awesome little program called Starbits 7. Every other thing in the picture was vectored in Flash MX, up to and including the actual colors in the sky. If someone knowledgeable thinks this belongs in another category besides vector, please tell me! I was unsure.

Edits: Added details link and fixed a couple of small mistakes. 10-24 ... Smoothed out the moon's glow some and fixed some mistakes on the ground girl's hands. 10-25

I agree, a username must have meaning to it. It represents part of yourself.

Great job! I think it would look better with more variation in the landscape. It looks a little plain. Even some more variation in the blades of grass would really add some life to it. ^^ Nice job though! I like your style.

This is a perfect example of your dreamy vector style. I like it; all of it really. It's a great idea here, perfect execution. Maybe if I have to "critique" sth, maybe some more overall contrast would be even better? That's a small detail though. Great job!

Thanks a lot! That's great to hear, because in the future I do want to illustrate my stories by myself instead of hiring an illustrator.

Thaaaank you very much! :glomp:

So far pretty much everything I make is in Flash. Except for back when I used Paint. :dead: I'm trying to learn Illustrator though so I can make things look more seamless.
