I'm creating bouquets of bluebonnets in fused stained glass today. These went into the kiln over the weekend, and I was just able to see them today! We will add ribbons to allow them to be hung from a sunny window. It's interesting to see the fused flowers change in the kiln.

Bluebird Mosaic
Here's an easy mosaic project great for beginners. Glass nippers aren't needed! We started with a simple bird sketch I created with pencil on newsprint, and progressed from there to turn our idea into the "Bluebird Mosaic". The bird pattern is available as a free printable pattern on my home site, www.staceymayer.com.
Valentine's Day Horses
It's a tradition to create artwork to share with everyone for Valentine's Day, and this year, I painted a brilliant red Arabian horse, with blue and aqua highlights. It proved more popular than I expected, with over 100 "likes" and dozens of comments. I'm thrilled to see how everyone liked the bright red!
When I was in high school, I painted a trio of horses in brilliant, primary oil colors. Painting these past few works has reminded me of that large painting. Although I can certainly tone down my palette today, and use modulated tones when wanted, my heart still sings to see bright colors laid down on any surface. Valentine's Day signals th

I've been looking through some of the Photoshop brushes made by the deviantART community. So many subjects! I've rarely ever used custom brushes in the past, but seeing what's been created here, I think I have passed up a great resource and opportunity for collaboration.
I haven't found any horse brushes yet. We should fix that, don't you think? I will see what I might come up with that would be fun and good to share with everyone. No, not for commercial use, but for adding to your own creations.
There are tons of artists here at least as talented as I am, and many of you are twice as accomplished with digital art techniques as I ever will
