Painting by SRudy Painting by SRudy
It's a gift for *Rosane-Ch for her birthday, she just turned 20 years old few days ago
It's kind of a mini version of my previous drawing "Whales Tails"

But painted :B
Took me around 2 weeks.
PS: I'm sorry for the wrong perspective it's just my camera…

Acrylic on Canvas - 30*40 cm

heck i think the perspective is cool. if anything, you should have went even further with skewing it. it's surreal isn't it?
i mean, i'm probably wrong (and a shock, that would not be), but i see the cityscape representing waves or rough waters.
which is pretty cool, the city representing rough waters. almost a socio-political statement.
however,...what is the whale's relation to that? hmmmm. his movement suggests panic to me. as well as the 'look' in his
eye.
i'm clueless to what the orb (sun? moon? E.T.?) represents.
But it too seems to be pulsating.
Maybe that's the ties that bind the two.
Maybe this is a statement on the environment and the relationship between mankind and the animal kingdom.
global warming?

okokokok.
just my random thoughts.
cool piece.

Haha well nice interpretation! The buildings represents the waves that's why they're painted in blue. And the whale, usually when I draw flying whales, to me they represent the freedom of soul  not sure about what could the moon means though, its just a part of my friend's interests, since it's a gift :B

I really like the deep shadows in this one and the "move" effect of the whale :) Your art is always so enchanting and dreamy :)

I was going to say the angle perspective is a bit wrong but it's still very nice! :meow:

This is so....artsy!:iconhurrplz:
I really love the 3 versions of the animal's tail, that is the best part.
And the blocks of houses look nice too, I love how they touch the red sky.
But what's up with the whales? are they your fav animals?
