They had parked near the edge of the “No Parking” area before entering the old warehouse. But chased on the way out, she wasn’t careful enough. Her foot caught on the signage, sticking like a fly to paper. She wrenched her foot free of her sneaker and leapt into the van. The evidence of their trespass remained firmly behind.
