Seed Stealers by SquidMantis Seed Stealers by SquidMantis
I made this for my Life Drawing class. All I really drew from life were the poses of the spacemen. The monster is loosely based on a water bear. Planning and Pondering took about 4 hours over a week. Pencilling and inking took about 10 hours over two days. Micron and Sharpie on 100 lbs Bristol. The original is 14" x 17". I scanned this in 6 sections and splicing those pieces together in Photoshop (plus level adjustments) took about 2 hours.
[I left the black levels not so intense to maintain the marker strokes and the "oh, this was drawn on paper" look. Because, I don't do that very often anymore.]

Thanks! I think I would have run out of steam if I worked on it over more than two days.
