Hello / Alsalam alaikum
Oh my God .It's been such a long time since last time I was here ,almost two years .
Time flies ,doesn't it ??
My life is finally settling to a routine ,it's been very eventful lately .
But I was always looking forward the day where I can come back here to dA to enjoy art and reconnect with friends and make new ones ,hopefully .
Recently I got a new laptop . The old one is too slow with many flaws . But it will take me a while till I move my files to the new one ,The old one is such a mess
I do have some old pieces of art that I never uploaded though ,so I might just upload them later ,God willing .
I've got thousands of messages and dozens of notes . Many codes on my page are broken so I need a full-page-makeover . And there are many new things in dA that I need to learn and be familiar with .
,So .. A while might pass before you start seeing new art by me .
I'd really appreciate if you commented here and tell me what improvements dA made during the last two years ?? ,For example ,what is that "core" symbol near my name
As for my life , I got engaged to a nice Iraqi guy who lives outside Iraq ,He was my friend's cousin and we knew each other online because he couldn't come to Iraq because his papers weren't complete .
Apparently this delay was a blessing in disguise ,because I got to perform Hajj(pilgrimage) in Mecca while I was waiting ,Al Hamdu Lillah
My fiancee papers took about 10 months to finish ,after which he came to Iraq where we finally met each other face to face for the first time
And we get officially married ,in court and in front of God ,so that we can talk freely and he can see me without my Hijab on
. But we are not wedded because we wanted to wait till we get to live together in our own apartment ,God willing .
He had to travel back 7 months ago ,and I had to finish the paperwork for me to follow him there where we can finally get married "fully" . Oh and BTW , Paperwork in Iraq is a NIGHTMARE ,with all the routine delay and the many obstacles that magically resolve with a bribe or a mediator (!!) .
Then I had to travel to Jordan to submit my request because the Embassy in Baghdad don't take such kind of requests .
My brother also got engaged recently ,so this was another thing to keep me busy .
So ,to sum things up ,I'm so grateful to God . I know it seems like a very long time to wait to get married to someone you are engaged to ,but I have my hopes up . Please pray for me .
I can't wait to hear from you .
Be Safe .
