Memories of a place that no longer exists

I took these photos around 2017–2019, on the edge of adulthood, when my family's home was the most chaotic it had ever been. Life on the beach was anything but paradise. I spent a lot of time out on that dock before a hurricane eventually swept it away (though it had been slowly decaying for years). Those days often felt like a quiet, suspended fog. I sometimes wished the space where the ocean met the sky would take me away... Instead, it occasionally revealed to me a bridge made of light - luminous hues contrasted against dark clouds, formed by rain.
